My 2002 LT does not have a rear brake reservoir fill screw type top. Where and how do you add the dot 4 brake fluid for the rear brakes on this model ????
Thanks

On my 2000 model you have to remove the rear seat, and it is on the rear brake pedal side just inside the tupperware. Kind of hard to see and harder to get the cap off.

Open the right pannier cover and you'll see the sight glass for the brake resivoir. You'll have to pull the pillion seat to get to it. The cap is a quarter turn to remove and replace.

You should have two "quarter" sized caps one for each of the two chambers. This is a two chamber reservoir with the wheel circuits for both front and rear.

See #2 & #3 in the attachment.

Thanks for all the info.
I can't open your file. I did however find the top of the reservoir and wondered how to open the unit. Does it matter that you take out the sensor, do you have to un-plug the unit before you open it ???
Thanks

It is a MS word document - you must be a Mac guy. I was trying to show an image from a PDF file - guess I goofed. You should see two sensors with wires and two caps.

I would not remove the sensors (disconnect the plug if it is in the way) but the two caps should just unscrew. No need to unplug anything unless it is in the way.

The forward reservoir is shared by the rear control and wheel circuits and the rear reservoir is just for the front wheel circuit.
