I just picked up my Super Pro AVI from the Beemer dealer on Friday.

Of course there's no instructions in the box so I go to the website to look at how to install it.

I have the speakers and Mic in the helmets with no problem.

The thing I'm wondering about is this.

The directions have me soldering wires to my wiring in the bike.

Only problem is. I only have a Red wire and a Black Wire coming out of the Autocom box.

there are three other cables coming out.

2 are for the connections to the helmets.

the other cable is going in at aux 1 and is a connector but I have nothing to connect it too.

I don't have any wires to solder anywhere.

I have 2 other little cables that have metel plugs on both ends such as you would find on the side of a radio or something like that.

But I don't have any wires that are ... bare copper to solder into the speaker wires and stuff.

I nkow when I went to the BMW shop to get this and I wanted the set up, they didn't have it, so they took a box off the shelf and made it up from all the toher parts for me.

then then placed it in a bag and put it in the backroom for me as a lay away thing.

I picked it up on friday and the sales person, looked in and said, Hmmm, what's that doing in there and removed a smallish box.... rang me up and I went merrlly on my way...

Now I'm thinking that little box may have been what I need to connect my radio / speakers/ BMW CD changer in the side compartment and the tape deck in the glove box...

am I right??

Doug have a look at

http://www.angelfire.com/ar2/jfbeard/autocom/autocom.htm

and other items in the HOW. My Autocom (an older Eurocom) gets the music from a tape covered little box that has a 3.5 mm stereo plug on one side and 2 wires coming out the other that are are soldered onto the speaker wiring harness.

I needed the same "on board stereo interface" to connect my Active 7 Sport to my LT. I ordered mine direct from Autocom US; they included this part with the kit.

Autocom supposedly is working on a "barrel connector" similar to that found in the Baehr LT kit, to eliminate the need to strip and solder wires, but I have yet to see one.

I used the same instructions that Graham mentioned and had no problems with the installation.
