Dear CCR Gang:
The Tree House believes every child has the right to be safe from abuse and neglect so as to become a healthy, literate and economically self-sustaining adult. It is obvious by CCR’s generous donation you do as well. The Staff and I had a blast working with you, learning from you, and most of all laughing with you. Your organization has a lot of energy and a ton of love among your members.
It is the goal of The Tree House to provide a collaborative response to protecting children and reduce further trauma for the child victim. Serving over 275 victims and 600 families “at risk” in 2005, The Tree House is the only agency in our three county area providing parent support/parent education and coordinating the investigation and treatment of child abuse.
As a non-profit agency, 75% of the total budget is secured through state and federal grants; each requires at least a 25% match. As I mentioned at the banquet, your generous contribution of over $20,000 will match those grant funds that support direct services to children and families in Barrow, Banks and Jackson Counties. WOW! What a phenomenal gift to hundreds of children …..and it all came from the hearts of hundreds across the United States!!
Our organization is honored you chose us as this year’s beneficiary of the CCR Reunion. I truly believe it was a GOD THING…what a blessing! I have an article I’d like to share, as well as this letter signed by each of our staff (maybe you can scan it and send it out for all to see). Please let us know at year 10 how many lives your group has touched. What a great story for CNN!
I want to thank the hundreds who drove to Georgia and gave of their resources….and I want to thank GILDA….you have a special gift…kudos for making the auction such a huge success! Born and raised right down the road from Chateau Élan, I’ll not only be sure the CCR contribution directly supports the mission of The Tree House, but I will personally feel the impact of such a donation as I live and raise my child in the loving and nurturing environment you helped to support.
