I wanted to, but, I have to go down to Port Colborne and have a meeting on what home we will be putting my mother in when she gets out of the hospital after her stroke.

Have a good time there.

On both accounts sorry to hear it.
I'll run down in the AM just to do it, don't want to miss the opportunity, and then come back before the rain.

Hi Joel:
What's the attraction in Port Dover? I'm over in Michigan and always looking for a ride to some new and different place. Are there any 'twisties' on the way there? :D

This is the event that started a number of years ago with a few friends and has grown to something like 40 - 50,000 for a one day event.
It takes place on every Friday the 13th rain/shine, winter/summer and attracts the usual suspects.
I ususally go for a short while and try to do it in the AM rather than the PM because it starts to get really packed, but, if you like that sort of thing it can be fun. Some have started coming to this event from quite a distance. Some camp, some just have a lunch/dinner and move on. Most people seem to have a good time. I just enjoy a reason to ride and don't hang around too much beyond a few hours.
Port Dover is right on the shores of lake Erie a little west of Niagara Falls and there is some nice riding inthe area, along the shore of the lake, some close by provincial park areas, the whoel Niagara Escarpment is really nice and the Niagara Wine country route is quaint and picturesque.
If your coming from Bloomfield Michigan, I was there in the spring and came through Sarnia, it would take about 3.5 hours from Mi to get to Hamilton and then Dover is about 1.5 hours from there.
I think there are websites that will give you a picture of the events/write ups.
Let me know if you want to meet up.

OK, Now you know so you can book in for the next one. April 13th 2007 is the next one.
The weather will probably be good as the region will just be getting into spring. But, you being a Michigonian, are probably experienced to do a mid winter 13th when it comes up.
Just keep watching the calendar and then send me a message so we can meet.

Sorry Guy
I was there had agreat time, once I got through the Snow and Hail, it was cool to say the least and the bikes were great to see too.

I only seen three LTs there a gold one and a 05/06 blue one. I have the silver one with the chrome, there was some other BMWs a nice R65 bike and others.

It is still nice to see the people stop and look at the LTs with all the Custom Harley bikes people still have a lot to say about the LT and we don't spend the money on a paint job!

Cheers, maybe we can do the April one !

Saw three LT's up on Main st.
1 dark blue/black, a champagne (like mine) and a silver. I guess your's was the sliver one.
+ mine would have made 4.
THe ride was cool on the LT but, for the other guys I rode with, all on harley's, cruisers, it was almost unbearable.
With the seat warmer and hand warmers on I was really cooking and couldn't keep them on high.
The wind, at almost 60mph was a little freaky going there but coming back was smooth sailing.
Just a fun run and always neat to see that many bikes converging from all corners for a 1 day meet.

keep the next onein mind and email me a coupe of days in advance.

cheers

I saw only two on Friday, the champagne with some diamond plate on the rear and a dark gray one parked in front of the Norfolk Tavern.

Can't wait for April 13 to ride my own LT to the show!
