I was on my way down to Suches, GA with some Raiders to ride the Smokies with Susan Galpin. We stopped for the night in London, KY. After dinner, on the way back to the hotel my shift-linkage broke! :(
I do carry spare linkage, but what broke off was the 1st ball stud. Rats! Beware, don't let this happen to you...
Put the bike into 3rd and rode the 200+ miles to Destination Motorcycles, just west of Knoxville. Wow! :eek: What a Great dealership!
Friendly helpful people, BMWs, Ducatis, Triumphs, Vespas and more. :D
Dave Corl immediately took me back to the parts dept. to see if indeed the stud was in stock...alas, no. But it didn't matter they simply took it off another bike!
The mechanic, Crow, was a seasoned vet and we talked as he worked.
They had me in and out in a hurry. :thumb:
