Hi Cookie,

Couple of photo's of the mount which I don't have fitted right now, The cables are wired under the tupperware. 2 needed. The mound fits on the centre console where the BMW badge is, just one bolt.

One for power, and the second is the voice output which is a 2.5 mm jack.

New cables are available from the link -
http://www.cycoactive.com/gps/tt5.html

and they have nice tourtech mounts too. I'm sure this stuff must be available UK side. The 2.5 jack should plug into your comm system if you have one. I use an autocomm, and the audio is good. Garmin shou dbe able to sell a replacement mount, as the SPIII and BMW Navigator I have are the same.

The 4 way cable only has two wires connected, and I uplaoded a picture of that wiring a while back, it's in the GPS area.

hope this helps

Thanks for the pics and link

I dont have autocom, would prefer to use the aux input on the sterio.
Doesnt that mout obscure anything?
I think there is a Navigator I holder than may fit that goes in the map light - that would be a nice place for it

Another option is to get the shelf fitting (RCU), and mount the GPS on that. Quite a few on the board already do that. I've had a look on RAM, but their stuff fits onto the bracket I did the piture of, which would allow for fitting anywhere.

I ran the one I have on a ram mount on the Clutch res cover for a while.

Covers available here.

That other link has a few other mount options for the SPIII, might be worth a longer look.

Did the RAM on the clutch block mirror vision?

No problem with vision,

I used a short arm ram, and angled it in towards the centre of the bike, looked quite good. Down side is every time you stop you have to remove it before someone else does.

I think I'm going to get a shelf mount and fit a tourtech mount which can have a locking option, means I can leave it on the bike during short stops.

There was a copmpleate touratech system for SPIII on ebay - went for a fortune.
If you go for that ,ethod, give me a call and I will buy your old system!
