needed, good advice.
i am purchasing a trailor hitch for my 03 lt on ebay.
it does not come with electrical connections. when i had my venture i purchased elec. connec. from " EC".
assuming i can do the same thing, will making connections to the bike be a complicated process for a novice, or should i consider going to a dealer?
thanks for your help.

scrc- 361The process is straightfoward, with a couple of footnotes. Brake, tail, L&R lights and ground are available at the single harness at behind the tail light housing, or if you can find it, under the right upper subframe rail. The one thing to be aware of, is that the '02-on bikes the ABS system monitors some of the brake bulb circuits. This, and the "you-never-know-whether-the-electronics-module-is-gonna-blow-up-from-a-voltage-spike" problem, are reasons I (and others) recommend installing a trailer isolator.

You might want to take a look at this:
http://www.dauntlessmotors.com/hitch-pages/bmwk1200lt_hitch.htm#Four%20Isolator%20Bosch%20Micro%20Relay1
Go to the bottom of the page for the Bosch Micro Relay.
I don't know if you have been towing trailers long or if you have seen this site before but here are some folks with lots of information about trailer towing.
