The new FJR AE has a clutch, it's just electrically actuated instead of the rider doing it. The operator still shifts the bike either via the foot shifter or "wannabe paddle shifter" on the left handlebar. So that answer to your question is "no".

Question: How do you get into first gear to start out? Based on what I have hear, there is an automatic clutch with electromechanical button or standard foot shifting. Comments - would be nice to be from someone who has actually ridden on!
