Okie Dokie - while El Jeffe is out doing the Ft. Bragg gig, I'm gonna do the Hard 8 thang. I'm gonna eat one of them 8 pound pork chops; all 'cept the bone! Maybe add a half-link of jalapeno sausage; some cole slaw; and a leetle cup of blackberry cobbler!!! Or hold off on dessert and grab a slice down in Hico, with the Pie Lady if she makes the gig. :thumb: Mug a tea to wash it all down with. Hummmin' yummin's! Anybody??
Satiday, the 21st has the planets all lined up just right - say 1100 hours or therebouts. Wanna add your name to the list, feel free. Or just show up. I don't call 'em anymore, cuz they make enough vittles to feed Jeff and two more!! :histerica
Oh, and I ain't gonna be eatin' breakfast that mornin'. At least, not on the road. May have my usual gruel at the casa, then work it off flyin' low. Could do a cup-a-joe at the Bluebonnet, or maybe another coffee shoppe in Marble Falls or Burnet if anyone knows whereabout that might be.
So far, I'll start the list with:
Bruce Coleman - Rowlett
Dick Largen - Boerne
Grifscoots - New Braunfels
Jeff Goodwin - Austin
Steve Shreeve - Austin
Sammie Shreeve - Austin
Andy Pleschutznig - Houston
Keith Hallmark - Garland
Gina "Pie Lady" - Garland
Shawn Papinchock - Bartlesville, OK
Alan Stuber - Austin
Keith Elliott - Rowlett
Dave Moore - Boerne
Kathy Moore - Boerne
Edgar Tanner - San Antonio
Debbie Tanner - San Antonio
And I'll throw this on the calendar in case the thread gets run over.

Gina "Pie Girl" had her sights set on 10/14, but I told her that 10/21 works best for everyone. She's alright with that as long as she can have two slices of pie in Hico. I told her she could have as many as she wanted, especially since she is riding with Keith H. :histerica BTW Dick she did want me to tell you "Happy belated Birthday".

Well, the better half and I stopped off at the Hard 8 Sat (7th) and parked in the Hawg Pen. Funny thing was, there were three Beemers, two Hondas, one SS motor'd full on chopper custom and ONE HD in the pen! Outside the pen were three or four more HDs. Seems we despoiled their personal space!
Oh, BTW, the p'chops and b'berry cobbler were excellent! Dang them p'chops are huge! Enjoy it everone, sorry we wont be there, we'll be in Lukyback next Sat.

Alright now I think its about time I throw our names into the "hat"
I've been watching this thread for a couple of weeks wondering if we could make it,
and its sorta lookin like we can :) :) :)
We're up in the north west end of Arkansas and after we get a rear tire in the morning
(if they can work us in in Bentonville)
we're gonna cruise through the Ozarks,
now iffen it all goes according to plan and we don't run into none of that dueling banjo's crowd,
we should be in the lone Star state in a couple of days.
Now if you take one look at me, you'll know that I can devour a heaping helping of pork.
but I'm here to tell you don't be fooled by that little woman that I'm bringing along,
she's gonna give that pie girl some competition,
my wife is 110lbs of pie eatin dynamo.
With all that said, add our names to the list
Hans and Pat Ruys,
cause we're looking forward to meeting Dick, Shawn, Griff just to name a few
and puttin some faces with them names
