With 9K miles in 5 months on my 05 LT and being one to crawl around and under my bike when cleaning and polishing I noticed that the *Radiators were getting crusty with dead bugs... I cleaned them off gently with a tooth brush and later did alittle research on radiator protection available for the LT...
I came up with my own version. Looks Great and does the Job.
Keeps that totally stock Factory Look while providing radiator rock and bug protection.
I cut to fit heavy duty Black Plastic Screening.
Attaching them was the challenge but it came out fine.
Check it out:

*Thanks Brian....
You are not abandoning the LT for the GT full time are ya?
Especially after installing those new shocks!

That looks great!
So, where did you buy it and how did you attach it? Inquiring minds want to know...:bmw:

Ron,
I came across it in a little hardware store some time ago and purchased it then in a single piece 50" roll figuring I could use it for a number of things... *I figured right.
I looked at several possibilities of attaching and settled on using a thin strip
of duct tape along the top of the screen and the Radiator top. Unless you look up from underneath, it is not seen. I placed the bottom of the screen which I cut longer to fit between the bottom lip of the radiator and the top of the lower fairing bottom. :) (See pictures @ beginning of thread)

Nice job.
For the record, the new GT comes with similar radiator protectors, as well as some plastic fins right in the middle to help collect the normal road grime. Looks like a decent setup as well.
