Anyone have any experience (good or bad) with taking out travel insurance for bike trips in Oz?
I'm trying to research the merits of it for the upcoming ride, and making sure I have all bases covered for anything that might stuff up the travel plans.
The BMW Motorrad roadside service is in place, the usual comprehensive bike insurance (QBE) also.
Been looking at insurance to cover bookings cancellations etc in case of accident, illness, and things that might happen while away, like loss of effects etc.
Found this mob online that seem to be reasonable at $94 for "family" with $100 excess that covers most of the things I think I need. http://www.travelinsurancedirect.com.au/
Anyone?
