Anyone know of an independent BMW mechanic in the D/FW metroplex? I submitted this thread in the general LT forum and thought it might be better suited here.

There is a guy who does airheads in Pantego, I think. What kind of work are you looking for? Something beyond maintenance?

John, I was having difficulties with my cruise control engaging so I began to do adjustments on the throttle cables thinking it would solve the problem. The adjustments to the open and closed cables are not going as smoothly as I hoped. I am at a loss and was wanting to see if I could find someone who may work as an independent. Taking it to the dealership is not what I would rather do.

I did call the guy in Pantego and told him I had an LT and he does not want to work on a K bike. He said that he strictly works on airheads.

I have only used Ray for tires, but I think he may be able to help you out.

He is off of Summit I think!
Only a Block or so from the local dealer in Plano.
