Can this be removed and cleanly covered? Am considering this bike but really dislike the tall tourpak. If anyone knows how to remove and cover nicely, please advise. Thanks! Great site!!

there are 4 screws under the liner of the top box as well as a couple of wiring plugs under the passenger seat. Remove the screws and unplug the wiring harness. the box will lift off easily. put the screws back in the holes to keep water from running to the area under the top box. The liner is easily removed by depressing 2 plastic tabs located in the area of the latch assembly and pulling a velcro strip apart at the top front of the liner in the center. The passenger seat is removed by removing 2 bolts at the front edge of the seat then sliding it forward and up.

The trunk comes off easily, which makes the bike handle much better. There is a finished black plastic tray that looks fine by itself, or you can add a flat aluminum rack if you prefer.

There are some great instructions with pics here (http://www.angelfire.com/ar2/jfbeard/autocom/trunkremoval.htm), and pics of the accessory rack here (http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthread.php?p=107440).
