Close just isn't good enough for us... :bmw:

If you are considering spending big bucks for a custom seat you owe it to yourself to have it look as good as the rest of your bike's trim.

BMW's black seat vinyl is actually a very dark charcoal grey - and not even close to true black. Their "greige" (more or less grey) is probably one of the most difficult of all colors to match, since there are literally hundreds of shades and tints.

We're now able to specify that our perforated ASTM certified fabric is matched EXACTLY to BMW OEM colors. No other custom seat builder can make this claim. ALL of our competitors use "off the shelf" vinyl or leather colors that sometimes are not even close to matching the rest of your trim or seats/accessories. We utilize a sophisticated computer color matching system to ensure a perfect match.

E-mail us at KonTourSeat@cs.com with your snail mail address for free samples of our amazing perforated fabric and breathable mesh. Take it out in daylight and compare. You'll see what we mean by EXACT color matching - only with KonTour Seat!

Is the perfict match perferated "greige" the same one you used on mine about a year & 1/2 ago? If it is, it looks good, but not even close to a match. It almost looks green compared to the stock backrest part of the seat.

Nope, that and the black we were using a couple of years ago were totally different colors than what we NOW use. Those were "off the shelf" colors. They were "close" and looked pretty good - but not nearly as good as color matched.

However, your seats and any accessories we re-covered are warranteed for life for the original owner (except for sun fading which is something we have no control over). If they have changed color (which I've never seen happen) we'll be pleased to re-do them AND turn them around in 5 business days, you pay for shipping both ways. No problem! :)

No, they didn't change color, they never did match. Other than that, I love the seats.

Hmmm, I guess I'm a bit confused since we sent sent you a sample ahead of time to get your OK on it and you liked the color at that point:

Sometimes it's very difficult to compare colors especially when you are looking at only a small swatch - and matching colors is always subjective to a degree since we all have a little different "take" on them... however this was indeed the older fabric which was not computer color matched like we now use. The older black was also not color matched.

Anyway, glad you are still enjoying the seats and if you have any issues with them in the future - no matter how long you keep your LT - we're here for you. :)

I should have more dark charcoal in stock in about 10 days - is that soon enough? :p
