I have two -
CA Highway 1 from Carmel to San Simeon
CA Highway 1 from San Francisco to Leggett (it's actually 200 miles, so I like it twice :) )

Just one?? And only 100 miles?? That's tough...
Discounting the route along Lolo Pass :)...
From Hwy 395 on the CA/NV border Hwy 89 to 4 down to Angels Camp is a good start. Great ride and traffic is not bad.
Hwy 50 across either UT or NV - not a whole bunch of twisties but I love this ride for the solitude.
The ride over Independence Pass in CO.
The Northern Black Rim Road (Gunnison to Glenwood Springs, CO).
IH-10 across west TX.
And let's not forget Blue Ridge Parkway, Montanta, Wyoming, Utah...
Sigh, just one?? You sure?

Definitely a 2nd on the San Fran - Leggett route along Highway 1.
Just too bad I've never done it on a bike.

There is no doubt the BEST road in the world is HWY 170 North of Big Bend from Presideo north, in Far West Texas. Everything a rider craves on one stretch of road.

The Coquihalla (COKE-a-hal-a) Highway has great
views and is the main highway link between Kelowna in the
Okanagan Valley and Vancouver B.C. Imagine 100 miles of freeway through the heart of the most gorgeous mountain scenery in North America.
No cops, no traffic, no signs of civilization, no billboards, no trash, no gas!
(And you can run it easily run all 100 miles at 100 plus mph without looking over your shoulder....)

I have been thinking on this since it was posted and just couldnt decide and I came up with this conclusion, The reason I couldnt decide is I keep finding better and better roads to ride.
The Dragon was fun but Cherahola was better, then we went to Franklin and back on 28 and wow what a ride, then there is 1054 near my house, for Louisiana it is an awesome ride, of course I ride it often as it is 10 mins from the house.
Then there is hwy 12 in CO, that was fun, and Hwy 50 from Durango, and the million dollar road Montrose to Durango, did it at night. I mean what can I say I keep finding better ones all the time.
So I guess I'll have to say THE NEXT 100

The ride through the Tarn Gorge in central France beginning at the Millau Viaduct (what a piece of BRITISH engineering bought by the French!), up to Peyreleau and then follow the river. Great twisties, incredible scenery, unbelievable 'degustation' stops en route...

I think DaveDragon had posted an actual video clip of this road in Boliva.
Yeesh! I'd hate to see it during a NYC rush hour!

It's only 40 miles, but throw in some Hwy 1 as part of a loop and Stewarts Point Skaggs Springs Road (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&time=&date=&ttype=&saddr=Dutcher+Creek+Rd+%26+Dry+Creek+Rd&daddr=Stewarts+Point&sll=38.658705,-123.376293&sspn=0.089543,0.141621&ie=UTF8&ll=38.644763,-123.180084&spn=0.358243,0.566483&t=h&z=11&om=1) is way up there for me.

Southern Oregon is full of awesome roads. Often I will just pick one and ride until it ends onto gravel or often a new route back to pavement.
Hwy 238 out of Medford through Jacksonville, Ruch, Applegate, Murphy into Grants Pass. Back roads to Merlin and up to Galice on the Rogue River for a snack. Beyond Galice to Graves Creek and the back road to Wolf Creek near I-5. Many opportunities to stretch the LT and a few miles of cruising looking out for deer and the occasional kamikaze squirrel.
This is a great area for the ride to the coast or inland to Crater Lake, just not after November.
For me the 2000 K1200LT is the ultimate ride. Loved the Hondas and the HD's, also a 1990 FLHS, 77 cafe racer, 84 883 sportster. This LT is toooooooo good.
Ride safe, beware the animals.
Later,
Bill,

That looks like an amazing ride. What is the name of the island?
I plan on being in Barcelona for the GP next April. Are there any rental companies you know of that may be able to set up the ride?
