Would appreciate if some one could tell me which BMW connecting cord is needed for the rider and passenger headsets. I am reaching info overload in the seach safari for this info. Is there a J&M cord that would work as well?
Seems the BMW head sets for the V II are on back order or something. I would prefer the J&M anyway.
Thanks,
Gene

You can use the J&M headsets but the lower cords can only be bought at your friendly neighborhood BMW dealer

Thank you very much for the quick responses.
I emailed J&M and also recieved a helpful response from John Lazzeroni. This has been driving me crazy. Head sets are ordered.
I will see if my dealer has the lower cords.

As added info for others that may have the same issue please note re J&M:
.... shorty-style helmets with the #HC-PWY lower section cords to plug into your BMW VOICE II audio system .... $25.00 each. The head set (dual mode AeroIII mike) for the shorty (what I call the half helmet) is their HS-BCD277-KHH at $170.00 each. Ordered them last night.
Seems there are few if any available from BMW ie as on back order or not available. Been waiting two weeks for a pedestal mount for the NAV III and am tired of waiting on parts....... Dang I thought that was a Harley thing
I have always heard good things about J&M and almost bought their handle bar audio set up for my Road King several years ago.

You may want to give Overby's a call here in Murray,Ky.I got set up by him for a lot less.I paid $28 for the lower cords.I believe he's the J&M dist. for all states east of Mississippi.Good guy to deal with too,he installed my headsets for a reasonable price.1-800-992-4092,on the web @ twowheelsound.com

The CB "fix" is unlikely to be found in a standard J&M cable, as J&M-label CB's never had the problem (and therefore didn't need a cable fix).
