Where are the rules for how to post to this site? I'm looking but not finding them.
Since I ve been threatened with being booted off the site (for mis-posting) I figured I would find these rules and read them.

Rules? Rules? We don't need no stinkin rules!
But it helps to look at each the forum headings as what content BEST fits there. But let your conscience be your guide and the moderators will correct it.

I got pulled up once by a moderator, and when I questioned it he resorted to swearing at me in a PM. Figured I'd just put him down in my little book as a W**ker and get on with life. I suspect he wears jack boots at the weekend and marches himself up and down his driveway.
P.S. bet I get another PM after this!

There is one thing on there that says rule (that being Golden rule)
The rest are general guidelines (as it says at the top)
I'm pretty sure it has much more to do with the content of the message than anything else.

RockThe site guidelines are the rules of the site. If you or anyone else has a concern or question about enforcement of the guidelines or any other question about the operation of this community, please don't hesitate to PM me or send an email to randy@bmwlt.com
We have a very good system in place for discussion among the Moderators and Administrators of this site and make every effort to apply the guidelines fairly and evenhandedly. If any member ever feels like he or she has been treated unfairly, my (virtual) door is always open.

Rock, I've had a couple of PMs from our friendly moderators. One was about my occasional habit of posting stuff in the wrong forum; I was always posting my "LT sightings" in the Chit Chat forum, when they belong in my regional forum (Midwest). I hadn't thought about it much; now I do and it's no big deal. The other time was when I posted a jpg that showed mild nudity (from the back side only). That was clearly a violation of this site's rules and I publicly agreed with that. However -- IMO -- that photo was so much less objectionable than some of the language (expletives) I've read on the site that I still scratch my head about it sometimes, but hey -- it's their sandbox, their rules, and we agree to follow them. I don't know what you're being "talked to" about (and I shouldn't), but I'd say as long as we stay away from using words like @#$%, s$*&, #@$%^* and others you'll be fine.
