Educated and smart does not equate to common sense. I know you've seen this in many young college graduates. I can't believe this teacher still has a job, she's on administrative paid leave after she endangered these kids lives. I'm sure she will be released from that school but she'll teach again somewhere. There are doctors in this forum, is six month's of testing enough for blood borne deseases?

Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger!
Kids these days, why, back in my day, we had to punch eachother in the nose to get the blood sample, and the worst part is, we used the same glove for everyone! :histerica

I'm not a doc, but it ain;'t for aids although some want the general public to believe it isn;t as bad as it really is,,

if aids can penetrate certain condoms then well nothing will stop it and no length of time will tell

My High School chemistry teacher lasted 35 years there, and he would begin each year by giving us a lecture about safety procedures and how to go to a sink and wash off any chemical exposure, etc.

My year, during the lecture he grabbed the hand of a blonde girl (turns out it was always a blonde girl) and while calmly explaining what to do if say- acid spilled on you- he poured the clear contents of a glass beaker onto one of her hands. We all assumed it was water and this was for demonstration purposes only- until a couple of seconds later when she began to say "It's burning". She was just frozen there, and after she screamed it for the third time, the teacher said: "Yes, and what the hell are you supposed to do about it!?" We all were about to grab her and bring her hand to the sink which was right in front of her, when she finally stuck it under the faucet.

Different times back then I guess... no parent complaints.
