I've been lurking this forum and others for a while now educating myself on BMW's in anticipation of making the change from the HD's that I've been on for some years now. I have test driven and pretty much decided on a new RT. I've firmly decided on the 2007 model in spite of maybe being able to get a marginally better deal on a 2006. My question is this. With the information that's out there would anyone care to venture an opinion on whether the ASC would be an option worth waiting a few months for. Thanks.

I think it is a good option for street riding. Like ABS, it may rarely come into play, but one time can save you real grief.
There was a post here concerning the new GT saying that that person made a deal to get a new GT and the ASC option will be added at no cost when available. Seems it is a software upgrade and an added switch. I assume it will be the same for the RT. He is getting the GT with the latest ABS, not the servo powered brakes, as that is what the ASC is meant to work with.
Personally, I would want the new brakes anyway, did not like the power ones when I test rode a GT.
