Okay this LT is my first bike with centerstand. I have put friend's smealler bike on centerstand before. Lighter bikes.
Couple times last week I was straining and couldn't hardly get it up there, including one day when I just gave up and left it oin sidestand for night. My son was not amused as he waited to get on when I started it and fogged him with the oil smoke thing.
Then it occurred to me that I had parked in first, put it on sidestand to dismount and then tried to put it on centerstand. DUH!!!!!
When putting bike on Centerstand, always do so with bike in NEUTRAL!!!! Much smoother and easier.
I see folks worrying about it and thought I'd share that reminder. Once you do it a couple times, it gets better. Most of the times it sorta jumps up there and rocks a time or two, but I'm getting smooter about getting it up there.
