Anyone know of any common problems or recalls with this model now it's been out for a while?

Mines 5 months old and 15k miles with no problems.

thanks for your reply, hope it stays that way.
i can't afford to buy one at the moment so i have some time to find out if this model has any common problems with items such as drive shaft bearings etc.

In Australia the R1200RT has been recalled to rerout the front ABS sensor cable. Apparently it can be damaged if the front calipers have been disturbed.

Several recalls (ABS, Clutch) but after 2 months and 2500 miles, no problems here. Like McDonalds, I'm lovin' it. :)

There have been a few recalls which is not uncommon for a new model. BMW has stepped up to the plate.

My 2005 had a few very minor recalls/campaigns which were caught and handled by the dealer before I noticed any problems.
