:thumb: I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to sell my 1800 vtx retro and take the plunge and buy a K1200LT so I started looking around and found one on Cycletrader.com . The bike I found was a 2003 K1200LT and I looked at the pics and thought this was a clean bike but still I was worried and had to sell my bike first. I contacted Honz, who happens to be the owner of Mottorad, and asked him some basic questions about the bike and he was gracious to answer them all and send me some extra pics. After a week and a half my bike sold and the k1200LT was still there. I called Honz and then I flew out to St. Louis where he picked me up at the airport. I checked the bike out prior to my coming out and once I got there I checked it out again. Honz walked me through the bike and all its features. Once I was happy I drove it back to Ohio. The bike has been flawless and Honz even followed up with a call to see how I had faired on the trip back. This guy and his company are well worth high praises. I recommend that anyone that sees a bike being sold by him to buy it from him.

Congrats on your new ride! :)
Glad to hear the report. I'll probably stopping by that dealer on the way too CCR next year.

Honz sold me my LT new off the showroom at "the next to last" dealer on Forest Parkway. He does good, I'd buy another from him. Each time I see him he still ask how the bike is working out. After 3+ years and 65,000 miles I think he sold me a keeper. The point is, he still remembers to ask.

Good report and welcome! I rode my LT for four years before upgrading to the GT. Hope your new LT provides many miles of safe fun. I'm in Bay Village, up on the edge of Lake Erie. If you get close, let me know.

Bob Honz does seem like a nice guy. He was a salesman at the old BMW shop here before they made the unfortunate move to the new location. Understand he and another person started a small independent shop in South Central STL, but have never been there.

I just got off the phone with them and they cannot do warranty work. St. Louis is still without an authorized dealer.
