Anyone using this mount? I like it's simplicity, but am concerned that it may not keep the detector high enough?

I like Tech Mounts (http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/product.asp?Item=HG), aka 'Spider Mounts'. They fit in the hole that's already in the handlebar control assembly on each side. I used them for my cell phone, iPod, and FRS/GMRS radio.

Thanks Joe,
Those look very good. Think I'll go that route.

$80 for a bent, powder coated piece of stainless? I made a very similar mount out of a piece of scrap metal and some black spray paint. The V1 works just fine in that position, BTW.

$80 for a bent, powder coated piece of stainless? Yea...and some people actually go to rallies and buy new bikes with their hard-earned money. Morons!

I am not sure...I forget the p/n (or size) myself. Call Sean at Cycle Gadgets. He'll know which one you want.

I would suggest the BMR shelf. Advantages much better water protection and visibility of V-1 and GPS. Plus the nifty GPS visor.

BMR shelf with wings- Really nice arangement!!!
I also velcro my garage opener [small one] under one of the wings, GPS in center on RAM to put it up more into my vision, and glasses case on left, and Radar on right.

Seams to keep the gear dry till it really rains. Been thinking of clear plastic cases for rain conditions.
