Strange! Heading home from CCR last year, we blew a tire in exactly this same area, probably within ten miles. Bermuda triangle of highways?

I was going to say those same words - except for the CCR bit - In the archives are pictures of the Avon tire that was shredded in Point of Rocks - (an off ramp just prior to Rock Springs) ended up being towed to Rock Springs....

the wife saw that and is not real happy, and now worried her '06 GS will destruct catch on fire lock up or something....

come to think of it so am I knowing she is riding it , she has never had a major failure on a bike something like this could lock up from the sounds of it, if it happens in a curve or tight switch back.............

Tom, on my 1150GS, I like the idea of being able to change my rear end fluid each time I changed the oil...but with my o5 1200GS, it has the lifetime fluid...I don't like that....I think same true for RT as well...but I understand that 07 BMW with go back to being able to change the rear end fluid...

I saw the method that some are using to change the rear end fluid on the 1200GS and A, but takes about an hour to complete...then I suppose warranty issues....

Wondering now if BMW, will do recall and ad a drain and fill plug to the rear end... I doubt it...

That one pictured is kinda scarly....he guy had done everything by the book and less than 12,000 miles... 6,000mile service just completed and 5300 into his trip....
