I finally found a Blues Station I enjoy listening to: http://www.live365.com/stations/harp_man
So, now I would like to be able to record from the internet and xfer it to my Ipod.
Anyone got a program or a way to do that?

There are a lot of freeware mp3 recorders out there. Using Google will yield many hits. One such freeware mp3 recorder is </B>FREE Hi-Q Recorder (http://<b>http://www.roemersoftware.com/free-sound-recorder.html). I give it a test ride just now and it worked great.
One thing to watch regarding creating mp3 files is the resolution of the file. When I rip CDs, I create 192 bps mp3 files. These sound great...but the file size is bigger because of it. If I was to record streaming audio like what you're talking about doing, I would turn down the resolution to match what the website is streaming. Live365.com is probably only streaming at 64 or 96 bps, so there's no sense in having that setting any higher than the source. Make sense?
BTW . . . Have you tried the Blues stations within iTunes?

I am runing micro-junk but I have this nifty little recorder that is FREE and lets you do ALL kinds of neat things with your audio. it is MP3myMP3. You can download it for free here: http://www.freewr.com/freeware.php?download=mp3mymp3-recorder&lid=920 one tiny little detail, you will have to follow the very explicit directions and download the lame (that's the name, not a nickname) codec that will allow it to record in MP3. Lame is proprietary (and FREE) but MP3myMP3 isn't licensed for it.
It works just like any recorder, press record and it records any sound coming through your system. Be sure to turn of any mic, and carefull not to make any beeps with your system while recording.
I am an old radio DJ and I like my music clean. So if you are downloading your favorite internet broadcast, and want to spend a few extra minutes, you can use this little gem FOR FREE!! Audacity is a music EDITING program. With it, you can open that MP3 file and edit out the breaks, or that long silence before the song starts, or the long silence after the music stops. It is very simple, and man can it help the quality of your files! It is available FOR FREE! at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ It's been a long time since I installed it, but I think you need that lame file for it too. One install of the lame file works for all though...
Happy recording!
