Has anyone installed a HID low beam in a '06R1200GS yet?

the wife just got a new one last night and after riding it tonight in the dark I think a HID would work fine on this bike

Thanks
Tom
heres a pic of her new GS it had one mile on it when I took it to get gas in it!

Tom, I just completed the HID and Fog Light match on my 1200GS, got the kit from Tourtech, brackets for lights and balast included... just one way for the balast to fit... if you have the accessory plug, you may have to move it...

Using fog light on left side and the HID Driving on the right side...

Thanks Don, but we are wanting to change the low beam over to hid, I will add the hid driving lights to it as well as a set of motolights on the forks

thanks, so where do we find all the GS gurus?

we ordered jesse bagts , but today I heard they wereless than great and may drag if the bike gets lowered there are other goodies i want to find out about as well , like thee proper way to add lighting and gadgets to this canbus system,

BTW I'm really torn between the GS and GS-A for me, I'm wshort so the GSA will be really tall for me, but i really like thelooks of it, do you have anyidea if the shocks off the GS will fit the GS-a since I will happen to have a set qwith only 600 miles on them!

Thanks
Tom

ADVRider GSPot forum is a good place to start.

Just a thought or two:
If you go with the Adventure, your gas stops will be out of sync with the little ladies.
The Adventure sits higher than the standard GS, I suppose you can lower it by why get it in the first place, you can always add the larger tanks later to the standard GS.

yea, Karen already has the aux cell it will get switched over to her GS, so she would still have a further range.

Height was a definite thought, I've only sat on a GS-A and it is much higher or seemed much higher, after playing around with Karens GS I really like the light weight of it, but the GS-A sure looks awesome, and I'm thinking I would spend more than 2k difference adding light bars larger tank winglets and stuff to the gs-a then again what 60 lbs heavier ? and taller hmm might take some of the fun away (dang I wish I were a little taller) but Karen wishes she were taller as well HAHAHAHAHAHA
