I'm thinking - ship mine to Canada, then ride down to wherever - 2010 seems to be a good year to go. I'm up for it, with my riding buddy on his 1200GS - knowing my luck, CCR2010 will be in the UK that year. I think it's marginally cheaper shipping your own bike over, than a) hiring one, or b) buying one over there, then selling it after.

I'd be interested to know how much shipping would cost, not looked into it.

I've started a small savings fund to cover the trip, I figure £50.00 a month until 2010 should cover it in the main.
