Yea...I could probably be swayed to twist the throttle with ya. :) You have my cell, I have yours. Let's touch base next week, maybe Thursday evening and firm up the plan.

Hi Joe, yea I've got your cell. I'll give you a ring Thursday afternoon/evening to see what'll work. I've never been out exploring up your way. Always had a destination to get to - so, your lead.

Howard - I'd say if we're near the center of the state in the afternoon Friday we'll give you a ring. Otherwise, see you Sat around 8-9:00 AM.

Here's hoping for good weather.

Why not just attach the Garmin route file?

I wanted to post a picture, that anybody could view. Not everybody has a garmin right?

I wanted to post a picture, that anybody could view. Not everybody has a garmin right? The context of this thread is a ride that John and I are going on (thus far) this coming Friday. And since John has told me to take the lead, it would seem that you were talking to me. I apologize for my false assumptions. :o

Hey John and Joe (and others): if I ride to work this Friday and your schedules permit, why don't we think about starting the ride from the Dublin/Columbus area?

If you are already on the ride Friday and nowhere Columbus that's fine. We can hook up somewhere else, or you can guys can just explore the Ohio hinterlands yourselves.

That's basically what I was intending. But what timeframe are you talking about?Friday is a relatively big day at work for us (new data going into production) so if I'm included in this ride any other participants will have to be flexible. Or (and I mean this sincerely) just plan your ride and take off; if I can leave early to meet up with you I will. In fact that may be the best way to go. At this point I have no way to tell if or when I can leave early.

An on-time departure from work for me is 4:00. An early departure, especially on Friday, is likely but again there is the unknown element mentioned above.

Whataya think?

John, any thoughts?

John, any thoughts?Yes, that is probably the best thing for you guys to do. That way you'll have a guarantee of having the whole day available for riding. I'll call you when I'm off work.

I'm good for anything in between an - early start and the need to be back to New Albany in time for dinner with the kids at around 7:00PM.

Tentatively Joe, I think to expedite things it would be good to meet you out east - north/east somewhere and make our way back to the Columbus area, unless you needed to head into Columbus first for some reason.

Howard, I've been thinking about highway 93 south off of 33 lately, just outside of Logan or pick it up in Somerset. That's pretty close to your place. Is it still in good shape? We could hook up with you out that way for a quicky.

I have an idea...but I'll plan it out later this week and let you know. We'll meet and head further east toward the Ohio river, and then go back south. We can meet up with Howard later in the afternoon.

Lancaster/Logan/Somerset is the beginning of the Hocking Hills.

And please: don't mention "quicky" and Joe in the same sentence. Eeewwww.

All right, we're heading north in about an hour. Might make it all the way tonight, might not.

Joe, I'll give you a ring Thursday afternoon.

Howard, hope to see you Friday.

Others, see you Saturday rain or shine.

BTW - we made it fine. Daughter had a cold frosty one waiting. Life is good.
