If you have an R1200GS and you are not having battery trouble (trouble means a battery that is not holding a charge) do not get the software "upgrade". I did and now my GPS shuts off and the BMW battery charger will not work. I went in for the brake upgrade and the service tech went ahead and did a software "upgrade" too. Now everything is screwed and I have to wait on the next "upgrade" to fix things.
