Hello all NorthCal riders.
This comming weekend (Auguts 11 to 13) I'm planing on be at Lassen Volcanic NP and surrounding area.
Have been there only once and was just passing by, so now I would like to explore places a little more.

So, I'm looking for advices on nice MC roads and a not too tourist camp site.

Any ideas between Redding and Lake Almanor (Chester) would be great.

Is there any interesting think you like to do when you go to that area?

Thank you for your ideas and also if you want to join on the ride, you are welcome.

Elton

PS: do you know any of this roads:

Blue Ridge Rd
Viola Mineral Rd

They connect Hwy 36 (near Mineral) to Hwy 44 (near Viola)
Are they paved?

36 is a GREAT road, drop in and see Rick Mayer while in the area.

I would suggest checking out Burney Falls which is north of Lassen.

That sounds interesting Scotty. I add it to my day trip on Saturday.

How about Turtle Bay Bridge in Redding? it worth the 150 miles round trip since I will be camping near Lassen?
I would be going there just to see the bridge, but not sure if it worth.
