Since Cincinnati is without a current BMW dealer (Tristate) which I bought my bike, my trailer and supported with all my parts and accessories business, I have little reservation in making these recommendations for OEM parts:
Oil Filters
I believe one of my relatives works here but I claim no interests
Note on this site looks like the highest filter cost is for the Bosch 72161 with others coming in at almost 1/2 the cost . . . !

Spark Plugs
Very interesting site - excellent technical data and references on the spark plugs when running Bosch XR7LDC - $4.95 @ and minimal shipping!! Second site takes you right to the plugs and when you buy it takes you directly to PayPal for very fast transaction.

That's interesting.... $4.13!?
If that is indeed the correct filter - what a bargain. Let's see... The dealer wants $21.95, Beemer Boneyard wants $7.32 - but you need to buy 6 at a time....
Have you verified it is the correct one for the LT? If so, what a find! :thumb:

Last week I was looking for some stock bosch plugs for my 2001 LT and my search led me to this post from 2006. I looked at the link for euromotoelectrics and the price for the XR7LDC has gone up a little but I decided to try them anyway. The plugs were $5.95 each but the shipping was only $3.07. I ordered this late at night on the 5th, they shipped on the 6th and I got them in the mail early in the morning on the 8th. Even though this is outrageous for plugs it was still the best price I found on OEM plugs. $26.87 to the door.

I usually get my supplies from A&S. Watch for sales and then buy up! Seem to have great sales on oil filters, plugs, etc from time to time. If no sale, they are too high for me.

Ron,
I have been using them from Rockauto for a couple years now and they are the same filter with one exception.....they have a black label on them that you need to remove before putting them in the hot oil. They just peel off, then clean off any glue residue.
I didn't notice the label at first and when I changed out the first one, the label corners had loosened from the hot oil to reveal it.( they fit my 2002 Tundra also so I buy a dozen at a time)
