I know you said no ziplock solutions, but from my perspective the ziplock is only used on the rare occasions I get caught in rain. The rest of the time it's open. The other nice thing about the ziplock is that it is very flexible and transparnent so the only thing I cannot use is the dial on my SkyFi2. There are 30 presets that can be programmed so that is not an issue for me (and I only have 10 programmed now).

Just my thoughts for the cheap and effective solution for me. If I was living in and ara and riding in the rain constantly then I would probably invest in a waterproof one as well.

Also worth noting is that I remove mine whenever parked and put in in the oddiments box.

Yeah, get the Garmin SP2730 or SP2830 and combine your GPS and XM radio into one unit.

Hey Ian, Here is a waterproof marine cradle. It is for the XM Delphi Skifi II. I don't know which model you have but check out the marine supply websites.I am sure you will find something that will work.

I am using the "hoon hardware" radar box on the moto-locker--I have a sirius about size of the average radar detector. Seems others on the board have done the same thing...

I would second Eljeffe. I have the Garmin 2730 and find the XM radio component works very well. The added bonus is that you get two units in one.

Go to the Delphi web site. Look at parts and buy it from them. $30 and shipping. I did and painted it black. Looks good, doesn't leak, and a whole lot cheaper than the marine dealers are going to be.

I probably will not do the gps, due to my sp3 still working, but accidents do happen :D .
I will check into the marine cradle.
Thanks
