Man there are a dozen ways to mount it.I've got Surius and mountod the backet to the stingray. Just removed the BMW emblem .drilled a hole and bolted to it ran the wires under it and under the seat.I put the antenia on the topbox

Sets right on top of radios display window, fiddling with radio is done in one place .... right in the middle of stingray ;)

I think that is the pressure relief gauge for the Flux Capacitor. :D

No wonder I didn't know what that was :)
We don't have them in Florida,
I live on one of the highest places in town,
26 feet above sea level :D

Does this antenna position do well for you?..I'm about to install mine and had thought of placing mine on top box.

Made this simple mount that attachs to the FM radio mast @ 1 foot from the top.

XM reception is fantastic .... Trees & mountains tho  are well ... troublesome :(

I use a mount I got from Cycle Gadgets http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/product.asp?Item=RDYRS

They have BMW specific right and left off set mounts so the radio doesn't get in the way of the side mirrors. My Sirrius radio is mounted on the clutch and my GPS uses the same mount on the brake side. Run the wires under the handle bar trim. Every thing is hidden, and best of all...you don't have to drill any holes.

They apply to both Sirius and XM.

Good Luck!
