Garmin StreetPilot 2730

I am ready to up grade my BMW GPS system to the Garmin StreetPilot 2730 with the hockey puck GXM 30 XM Smart Antenna. The data says the antenna has a magnetic foot to attach to roof of car. I am not real trustful of this magnet. I saw a bike at the Vermont Rally with this antenna mounted to his handlebars on the right side. I think he had it made by a machine shop. Does anyone know of a commercial mount for this antenna?

I used a top of an electral box and cut it to shape for the antenna and works perfect. Garman makes a metal plate that the antenna attaches to and has holes in it to screw the antenna to it. I have this stuck to my dash in the car but the antenna is attached just with its magnet.

I placed my XM antenna in the front nose of the bike.

Works perfect.
