Since we had talked about the HD video on "how not to pass", I thought I'd put this up for viewing.

The bike is the LT not the K-R, so it's a bit slower paced.

Check out this CLIP (http://www.bmwlt.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=1264&catid=newimages)... 3:44 long....starts bit slow...i.e. "the speed limit", but gets better.

When you comment, please be kind....first m/c video and first attempt at editing.

Keep an eye out the decreasing radius turn toward the end.

BTW it was shot in High Def and I cut it from 677MB to 9.9MB so it may look a bit grainy.

The condensor microphones picked up a lot of "wind noise". I think Messy Joe had recommended wrapping an external mic with a rag so it gets the engine revs without the wind.

Does that sound like the best way to go?

Bill;
When I copy my video from my camcorder to my PC, I disable the sound. This way my native video on the computer has no sound at all. This makes adding background music, etc a lot eaiser.

Of course if you like the sound of the bike, then leave the sound enabled.

Nice video.

Thanks for the comments Mark.

Actually the editing s/w (required for HD transfering) I'm using, "Ulead, MediaStudio Pro 8", separates the Audio and Video tracks automatically.

And you're correct about me enjoying the sound of the bike. The sewing machine sound is very cool.....at least to me ;)

The Audio on the clip has the track that was recorded with the shot lowered in volume and has some filters applied....still couldn't get the wind noise down to where I'd like it though. Then I added the music track with a higher relative sound level.
