Intercom noise. Normal or Not?

I may be going delirious, but I am starting to notice some noises.

Here is the situation. I have the 02LTE, with the BC3 com system.

When I power up the head unit (used for CD, AM, FM etc), I notice a poping noise in the headset. This happens both when I turn on the head unit and when I turn it off.

Is this normal??

I know if I switch the headset to ext speaker there is a pop, but this is normal according to the manual.

If the popping occurs only when you turn things on/off I would think that is normal

The popping occurs when I turn ON or OFF the head unit.

Popping does NOT occur if I switch modes/input on the head unit (CD, Changer, FM, AM, Intercom or AUX).

Does this sound normal?

Howdy ehaughn,

I get the noises you seem to be referring to, however, for me, they are so insignificant that I've never bothered giving them any thought.

Tip: If you want to run "silent", turn the radio "on" and reduce the volume to zero. It is much quieter than turning the radio "off".
