The "White Road Riders" continuing to broadcast from NW Ohio and intend to show at CCR.
We will begin in Findlay, Ohio and build the "Gang to CCR".
Here is how we will get from here to there:
I. Saturday, August 26, 2006: Depart Findlay, Ohio at 7:00 AM
- Ride to Cracker Barrel for breakfast stop just north of Dayton on Interstate 75 approximately 110 miles
-Take hwy. 35 in Dayton to hwy. 68S
- Follow hwy. 68S to Lexington and take hwy. 4 around Lexington and connect to hwy. 27S
-Follow hwy. 27S to Somerset, KY- This is where we will stay Saturday night. Plan on finding a place as we come into town.
II. Sunday, August 27, 2006
-Depart Somerset at 8:00 AM on hwy. 27S
- Follow hwy. 27S into TN, cross I 40 on to hwy. 68E
- Take hwy. 68E across I 75to Madisonville and on to the Cherohala Skyway
-We have made hotel reservations for Sunday night at the Blue Boar Inn located at 1283 Blue Boar Rd in Robbinsville, NC Phone number is 866 479 8126. This is right off of the Skyway. They also have a web sight that shows the place.
III. Monday, August 28, 2006
- For those interested we are planning on ridding the Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap in the AM
- Then return to the Inn pick up those that decided to sleep in and head for B' fast and on the GA
- Currently we intend to take hwy. 129 to 1 hwy. 19/74 to hwy. 28 to hwy. 441S
- 441 will take us into GA and we will connect with I 85S just north of Chateau Elan. We have reservations at Elan beginning Monday night.
IV. Saturday, September 2, 2006 Depart for Ohio - specific travel routes have not been finalized yet
- We plan on making it back home on Sunday, September 3
- We will make a Saturday night reservation, some where around Lexington, before we begin the trip due to this being Labor day weekend
