Do you EVER really work? Do you have a job, self-employed or otherwise?

47 trips to Deals Gap and surrounding areas already this calendar year, misc. trips to install stuff for LTers out of state, STC II, at least one Tech Session out of town, CCA coming up... dude, what IS your "job"? :D

Have a nice vacation... again.

two week trip where are you going is anyone invited to join you questions questions I have questionsNope...just us 4 and no more. It's called "quality family time". I can only type this now because they are all sleeping...and that's just not one of my requirements. :)

Ride safe and enjoy. No riding, it's all cage time. But my wife and kids are worth the sacrifice.

Do you EVER really work? Do you have a job, self-employed or otherwise?Somebody told me to work smarter instead of harder...and I listened. But don't worry Howard, when I get back, I'll have to put in at least 5 days IN A ROW before heading out on the bike again. Freakin' slave drivers!!! ;)

...No riding, it's all cage time. But my wife and kids are worth the sacrifice...OK, so now I'm really confused.

On more than one occasion I have had to endure your (semi-)good-natured ribbing because I either (a) trailered the bike or (b) travelled in a car with my family. Please explain how your present scenario is different than mine? :D

You could have ridden on the bike while your family traveled in the car; you could have trailered the bike and ridden in the car with your family; you could have rented a bike at your vacation destination; you could have bought a new bike at your vacation destination and sold it when finished with the vacation; you could have stolen one from a local dealer and returned it when done.

Here goes nuttin'...

"Please explain how your present scenario is different than mine?"

I am on a "family vacation" Quality time spent with my wife and two kids. Bringing a bike would take away from this time. The only reason I can steal away a little time to post here is because I do that while they are sleeping. And I keep up on business emails and what-not this way. Got it? Riding time is not good family time.

The two scenarios that I have ribbed you have been...A) Trailering a bike to STC II . . . and driving a CAGE to the BMW MOA National Rally. In retrospect, do I really need to justify the ribbings? C'Mon Howard! Learn from your mistakes...and move on! :D

As for your "suggestions". I do NOT trailer a "running" bike. That's just wrong. Nor would I make my wife drive a cage alone with 2 kids while I ride in front or behind her. Again....it's just wrong.

I hope this clears things up for you. If not....we'll talk at the Tech Session. :) Bring your son's shotgun.
