You may or may not know that CCR is an actual corporation, an all volunteer organization and also is a great event. The CCR event each year is the corporation's big educational and fund-raising gathering that encourages those of you forum participants who wish to join in, in real life, to learn more about the LT and all of its strengths and weaknesses, of course, but to also learn more about safer motorcycling in general, safer touring, maintaining our machines so that they enhance our enjoyment of riding and other valuable knowledge. Along the way we hope our attendees learn important things from the old heads and the 'wrenches' in this group, and have a LOT of fun.
And of course, as a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt corporation, we also raise money each year to support a local charity, chosen for the good things it does with children who need our help. And we usually select a charity that needs help as well. Those of you who attended CCR05 know we donated over twelve thousand dollars to a great cause for disadvantaged middle school children, but you probably don't know that our donation doubled their total annual operating budget for next year! That does some real good.
We hope you will want to be part of this great event and will not only attend, but will help the rest of us who volunteer our time and donate a lot of sweat and blood to make CCR what is has been and what it can be. The following list contains names and contact information for our event committees, who are already hard at work in many cases working on next year. What can you do to help? Ping someone and let him or her know! And, thanks ...
