Canada or US route for trip to BMWMOA?

I am headed out tomorrow AM to go to the BMWMOA in Vermont. I plan on getting there tomorrow late in the day. Any thoughts on going thru Canada vs. USA (Ohio/New York) ? I will be leaving from Blissfield Mi (close to Toledo Ohio).

Thinking out loud here...

That's a tough call from where you live. MapSource routes you through Canada. But going through (around?) Toronto doesn't sound like that much fun. Then again, going across north Ohio isn't that great either. :( I have to believe though, that the OH/NY route is actually going to be faster. And...gas prices are going to be higher on the Canuck side, as well.

Southern Ontario is nice, but so is up state New York. My advice would be to go one way on the trip down and another on the way back. Ron

I wud think going thru the US wud be the best route. Much nicer ride. I am Cdn and riding on a M/C thru Toronto is not fun this time of year. That section of the 401 is extremely busy and very warm. I suggest going thru upstate NY which is a very pleasant ride.
