The wife and I were sitting on the back deck this evening when we noticed something strange on the deck table. It appeared to be some droppings from a small animal. Chipmunks maybe? Hhmmn... But they were just in the center of the table, underneath the closed 6' umbrella. I decided to do a little more investigating and began to open the umbrella slowly. I looked up and wasn't prepared to see what I saw.

Nice little bat dude!
Put a bat house up in the back yard and they will hang out there and keep your yard clear of most mosquitoes.
Last night I found myself pacing around the garage and driveway yacking on the phone to a buddy when I saw a huge Black Widow slowly crossing the driveway into the garage.
I step on it (as I'm not fond of poisonous spiders in the Casa, call me crazy) and she exploded with hundreds of babies going everywhere. http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/eekers.gif
So now I'm doing my best "Marcel Ledbetter" to smash all the dang little ones.

We took the umbrella down, so the little freeloader had to find a new "apartment". :)

Nuttin like sittin out on the front porch swing at dusk watching the no tail birds come out to feed...:) The are way more acrobatic than any bird...
Find a good home for him and he'll keep the bugs down...

"Those bats were sleeping through all that church singing and praying, and it's in their droppings."
"Part of what makes the bat poop so special is that it's been sung to this whole time."Sounds like somebody's a little batty.
