Finally got around to taking some photos of the seat.

Trying to show the shape of the seat.

I rode in to Rick's place in NorCal for this one http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/naughty.gif

I broke it in right; I made the ride from Sacramento to the Casa
in Florida in two 24+ hour legs.

I decided to go with Vinyl instead of leather mainly because
I wear Mesh Gear all the time and it requires less maintenance.

Looks good Dave! :)

I have decided to invest in a custom saddle for the new GT. Now the trick is deciding who to go with. Rick, or Rocky, or Bill, or Russell, or Corbin, or Billy Joe Jim Bob, or, or, or...?!?!

Considering the ride you just finished before getting the seat, how much better is it than the stocker?

I tried to get a ride in on the way back from the rally in Boise, but no luck. Probably head up there in the fall.

I am sure the seat has a greater comfort level than stock. I have one of Rick's seats on the LT. At the present time My seat is under padded, I will send it back for repair. I feel the seat frame under me .

The transition of the GSA seat from front to back looks odd. I would have hoped Rick would remove the wad but contours for this model.

Actually, I found the stock Adventure seat quite adequate for most touring needs, it only bothered me after 1000 miles or so in a row.http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif

He did shave down the "Basket" area to reduce the hump some.
I have the front of the seat in the up position and the rear set down.
