I am hoping someone can help me understand something...

I burned a cd using WinAmp - the cd plays fine in the cd player in the oddiments box, but won't play in the cd changer. As a matter of fact, it isn't even 'recognized' as being there.

What did I do wrong?

PS - thanks in advance!

Does your changer play other 'home burned' CDs OK? That's all I feed mine - but then I've an LT with a cassette in the jocky box.

Chances are you've not done anything wrong at all. Check the tray load to be sure, but chances are your player simply don't have the right 'guts' to read that particular CD. Maybe try a different brand of blanks - see whatchya get.

Not sure if this is the issue - but I've had problems with some drives not being able to read a multisession CD - typically with munch older drives. But we are talking about a CD changer that 2000ish technology (or earlier?).

Make sure you choose the option to "close" the CD after burning to see if that makes a difference.

You may also want to try a regular CD-R instead of a CD-RW disc, if this applies.

Thanks Guys...

I was using a CD-RW. I'll try a CD-R this evening...

Not sure if this is related, but are you burning MP3 formatted files to the CD, or the same format as the original CD's? I've been meaning to check if my CD player accepts MP3 format CD's, but haven't gotten around to checking because I strongly suspect they are incompatible with the stingray's player.

No, mp3's won't play... I'm burning actual cda type files with all their related information...
