Did you watch the documentary on the DVD? I think it is called "Sacrifices to the Gods of Speed". That was good, and they could not have come up with anyone better than Anthony Hopkins to play the part. He had Burt Munro down pat.

Indeed! Just watching the real Burt gave me chills.... you could feel his commitment.

I usually will watch a video once and do away with it. This one I'm saving after seeing it twice. It goes in the collection with my other top fav's: The Jerk and A Fish Called Wanda.

What - you didn't like Blade Runner??!!!

Cheryl watched TWFI with me (I'da lost the bet, that she wouldn't!) and really liked it. We didn't get to watch the documentary or other trailers that were there. So, soon as I can figger out how to work the DVD, I'll try and find those thangs. If not, next time I'm at your casa, can we watch it??

You betcha. The documentary thang is hidden under commentarys, or somethang like that when you're in the menu section that has the "play movie" part. Just arrow down to it.

I liked it so much that I gave it to my parent's to watch... and THEY liked it. I reckon it goes beyond motosickleting.

BTW, David, thanks for pointing the documentary out, woulda never seen it.

When the main menu is displayed, arrow down to the special features, look for the "Offerings to the God of Speed", and play that. It is a fairly long documentary that the director did on Burt in the early 1970's.

The title of the documentary came from what Burt had written on the front of his broken parts shelf, which you get a glimpse of in the documentary.
