And now I have to talk to Adler live. . .hummmmmmmmmm. Dave and his son are coming this way headed to Vermont. It will be nice to see him. Tom and Deb Gary are also stopping by for two days of riding upstate NY including a stop in Cooperstown. After the MOA Robin and I are going off to Nova Scotia with Tom and Deb for five days. Any other CCR friends riding through Central NY in need of a place to crash? Rick and Mona Hanson from ND were thinking about stopping but they are crossing Canada and plan to drop down on Vermont fom Quebec. Lynn Keene, Larry, Dick,. . . The door will be open and the fridge stocked!

Hey, Wayne - it's not too bad talkin' to David live (better'n the alternative, as they say!!! :D ), butt that kid of his - that's the one to watch out for. What's his name?? Sumpthin' 'bout .... oh yeah, Barry! That's it. I tell ya, you gotta get the kids off the streets and the young daughters behind locked doors when Barry is in your turf!! ;)
I tried learn'n from him in Santa Fe, butt figgered I'd be put in jail in short order if I wuzn't careful .... so I did a DNF ('Did Not Finish') and let him have free rein of all those lovelies from 'uptown'!!! ;) :D
Good an ya, Wayne. You and Robin openin' up your casa to visitors passin' thru - that's nice. You guyz have a wonderful time in N.S., and give us a post or two about the trip. Take care.

I still haven't broached the rally subject yet. I'm thinking maybe tomorrow or Tuesday something like, "Ya know, I was thinking, I might take a little ride to VT tomorrow for a couple days." That always goes over well! Kind of like running down to the store. . .

Bill,
If you are interested, Dave Adler from Chicago has a room at Howard Johnson, South Burlington, and he is willing to have you bunk in with him if you need a room. I suspected you'd have some trouble getting digs so I suggested you as a roommate and he is not very discriminating though our common friendship was not exactly an endorsement. He and his son arrived here last night via auto as his son has a back problem. In Burlington, Dave will be without a car as the boy is off to visit some relatives in Stowe. In any case, Dave has a second bed and you have a rear seat. Today, we are going off to Cooperstown with them and with Tom and Deb Gary from Detroit. Yesterday, we rode down to Hammondport and took in the Curtis Museum. The ride through the Fingerlakes was very nice. If you are interested, call Dave Adler at 630-849-9055 and let him know you are coming. (If that number does not get a signal, his son's cell is 630-699-0779 and that may be the best contact number for today, Wednesday). They are all leaving Cooperstown and heading up to Vt. today. Robin and I are coming home tonight and are leaving for the rally tomorrow. So. . .you can hook up with Dave tonight or you can ride in with us tomorrow. Call me if that is your interest. I'm sure Joanne will understand. . .yet again.

Whether she will or won't is immaterial. Of course, she would. Sorry, but I won't be there. I really wanted to make the journey, but even as a retired guy, I can't break away. you can't plan a wake or funeral and it seems that's all I've been to this week. I'm looking forward to WI though. Best wishes to you and Robin for a safe and enjoyable journey. The Nova Scotia run really puts me over the edge, though. Send pictures. I'm really looking forward to being as retired as you are!
