Help With Radio Problem

I purchased a radio\cd and wire harness from 2005 LT to replace my 2002LT
radio\cassette unit. It does not work is there a problem with compatibility
between the years and the radio head ?

I believe that the wiring harness is different between the cassette unit and the cd unit.

I have a 2000 lt. I was going to put the 2005 radio/intercom system but I was told that the wiring harness would not work.. FYI.. I put in the BC -3 system. It works with the CB / GPS / Radar / Sirius system.. I love it..
