Anyone have any advice on how to replace a clutch cable on an R1100RT. Mine snapped on my way out of town today.

did you figure it out yet? I 've done it 3 times on two different R's. An 1100RS and 1100R. Neither one had the tupperware the RT does and was pretty easy. You might check IBMWR.org or the bmwrt.com site. If you have bar backs see if the dealer has a slightly longer replacement cable.

Thanks Glen. I bought a repair manual and it helped tremendously as I was able to put it together. Now that I have a book maybe I can attempt other forms of maintenance.

That's why they have slaves at the dealer or other reputable repair shop.
