before the rally in VT? I ordered my tires today from Tires Unlimited and should have them by Friday.
Gerard,
How does this weekend work for a light Tsession for you and your tire changer?
Smitty,
How about you and your balancer?
I am in FLA until Friday afternoon, Saturday works best for me but a Sunday morning session would work but I have a party at 3 Pm on sunday.
Guys ,
If it doe snot work than do not worry about it. I will bring the rims and tires to a local shop.
Looking really good for Rally, leaving on Friday.

Not sure if I can make it Sat. Sunday is definitely out. However, if you PM me an address, I'll send the balancer up for your use.

Jim,
I can bring a Marc Parnes balancer, tire irons, wheel protectors, stem puller and weights. I can make it on Saturday but not Sunday. I also have a HF tire changer but it is a little too big for the car.

I should be able to do Saturday and can bring the HF tire changer. I just finished the 24k on my LT. Had it tore down pretty good!

Gentlemen that is great. How is 9 am? What do i need to get for the HF tire changer? I have some masonary bolts and drill bit. Or do want me to pick up the 4x4s?
Smitty thanks for the offer on the balancer but I think Fred has it covered. hope to see you in VT.
Jim

I would go with the masonry bolts, but the 4x4's will do I suppose. If you go with the 4x4s, then we will need a couple of pieces of 4x4 plus a couple of pieces of 2x4 so that the rim is supported when you break the bead. Otherwise, we just need a couple of 2x4 pieces (18" - 24") and the bolts.
I don't suppose anyone has a Twinmax sync tool I could borrow for my RT?

I have no problem drilling inot the floor. I may end up buying one of the tire chagers myself at some point.

Jim: Sure wish I could join in, however, I will be leaving at 6AM for Barnegat Bay in NJ to help a friend fix an antenna. Taking the LT down through PA NE Extension and around Philly.
Say hello to all the guys and your wife for me.

Wish I could also make it but I'm tied up with house stuff. I just received my replacement shift linkage from Phil so I need to find time to swap that out before the trip to VT. I'll be up Thurs. til Sat. Staying at the HI in South Burlington. Continuing on vacation from there. Hope to see you guys up there.

House stuff? Oh, man.... you need a condo! We'll miss you today.
I've taken my shift linkage apart several times to be lubed, so if you need some advice/help/consoling, let me know. The last piece of linkage that ties to the shift lever on the tranny can be fun since the locking pin has to be inserted blind.

Amazing how folks help folks from this community. It's kinda hard to explain to someone who doesn't have a community to go to and share thangs like we do. Good job, Jim. Love to hear wrap ups of successful and fun wrenching. Take care. Ride safe on the new shoes!

Dagone, missed it by a day. Just back from a trip to Norway (which is fantastically beautiful, especially with 20 hours a day of light in the Oslo and Bergen areas). Glad you got the tires on, Jim. Hope we can do another tech session before too long, I need to check the valve clearance. Have a good time in VT.

Bill,
I just completed the 24k on my bike so, the valve check is no problem. I would love to hear your stories of Norway!
Peace

Norway, wow. sounds like a great trip. I had a budd from high school that would spend most of his summers there.
We will have to plan a TS sometime in late August if you can wait that long. I need to spend sometime with the wife and the new house. Some of you might know bt I have been commuting to FL since june. I think the wife is getting tired with my travel schedule. Although she has never said so but i can tell. So we are headed VT and spending some quality time in the saddle.

Hey Guys,
Count me in on the 12k valve check lesson - hopefully sometime soon!
I'm just back from Florida for Family stuff, I'll be working on lining up a place to stay for a few of us tomorrow. If anyone has any suggestions or would like to add their name to the list for lodging, let me know and I'll see if I can come up with anything - again no promises so close to the rally, but I'll do my best!

Kevin,
Since you were gone I found a place so you can scratch me off the list. I found a place in St Albans (approx 24 miles from MOA site).

Hey guys, good thing you didn't wait on me - I wasn't able to take advantage of the "Deal" since everything is booked solid.
We'll be at the TownePlace Suites Burlington/Williston right up the road from you Jim.
We'll try to hook up with Whoever is planning on riding up together Friday - looks like we should be able to get on the road around 2ish.

Absolutely!
I need to get all my info written down before tomorrow, so I can start packing and making sure I have all the stuff I want to bring.
Do we know who's riding up on Friday? Sorry if this has already been worked out, I'm out of synch from being away so may have missed the thread.
