We need to visit in-laws, you ever been to Shaver Lake, Huntington Lake and Edison Lake? Really beautiful area but not on a road that goes over the Serias so often missed. Shaver is on Hwy 168 East out of Fresno.
Nice route is 49 south to 41 east to to Bass Lake road to Auberry road to 168 east to Lodge road south to Tollhouse Grade east to 168 east to Shaver and beyond.
I can check on Lodging if interested.

Two words... Bodega Bay. Stay at the Bodega Coast Inn, right on the bay, very romantic, hot tub, in room "movies". Eat at the Tides restaurant, 1/4 mile up the road right on the beach, nice bar...

Thanks for your posts .....I just found out (I forgot) that I have a food show to go to this Sat. in Napa soooo there goes that , but I still may make a weekend out of it. I dont get it ...Boss goes to Reno for some Rodeo... I get stuck showing and eating Meat ...go figure.

Im no chef !! but we supply a few ...Im just there if a few of the other chefs see something they like. Pressure? not at all ...should be fun. Lots of people will show up. ;)
