I'm looking for information on getting a fuel cell for my K1200LT that mounts on the back of the bike so that I can still carry a passenger while I use it. Kevin Chase builds one but I could not find specific information on how to get one. Any help would be great. Thank You Brian J.

Brian, I see no one has replied to your query yet. Do a search for "fuel cell" and you'll find a bunch of threads although most do relate to the rear seat mounting. Check out Ron Wilkerson's (RMW) April 22nd thread. He put a 5 gal in his top box. Also a thread by KM5BH. He refers to the Sampson tank.
If you go to their web site www.sampson-sporttouring.com and look at the R1100RSL mount under the license plate this may be what you are looking for. I have seen one of these on an LT but can't remember where. I'll keep looking.

Thanks Tim, I have been on the Sampson site before and that looks like that may be my only option. I have until next spring. I wanted to use the cell on a 4 Corners ride with a 50 C-C in the middle. Thanks again Brian.

Sampson does good work But! Check the tank volume my cell was over by .68 of a gallon. My order was for a 5 gallon cell.
